Rectoverso

Adapting a novel into a movie is not an easy job, I tell you. The magic of a novel is in the words, while the magic of a movie comes from its visual and story. Its no wonder that there are many novel-into-movie adaptation do not work out. For me, Rectoverso is better be enjoyed as a novel instead of a movie. Its actually a compilation of short stories by Dewi Lestari, one of the most well-known and highly-acclaimed author in Indonesia. However, I can say that compared to Oldboy or any other Parks films, Stoker is much tamer. No blood, not even thrills. Supported by great performances from actors like Mia Wasikowska , Matthew Goode , and Nicole Kidman , is it fair to conclude that Stoker is not as interesting as Oldboy? read more

But, more than that, ILO ILO also talks about immigrant worker and how shes involved in the dilemma of child-parent relationship.
