Killer Joe

I�ve never known that this movie was previously rated NC-17, before finally re-rated R in exchange to some cuts on inappropriate scenes. Maybe, if I�d known it before, I wouldn�t have watched in cinemas (lol). Also, I have never known that �Killer Joe� was directed by William Friedkin, an Oscar-winning director for the legendary horror �The Exorcist�. The thing is, this black-comedy would have been more entertaining if these inappropriate scenes were clearly shown on its screening in cinemas. Well, I think I�m gonna write another post about that.

F. Scott Fitzgerald �s classic novel, �The Great Gatsby� , has been taken into a vibrant, grotesque movie by the hand of Baz Luhrmann . And I never expected that such classic story was also adapted for a 3D movie, which at first I thought would be just too much. Critics seem don�t like it, because their reviews on this movie was mixed. I think I�m gonna be against them: I love this movie (but I don�t really like Luhrmann�s style), maybe because of the fact that I haven�t either read the novel or watch the previous movie. This is a saddening, sorrowful story of The Great Jay Gatsby , despite of its glamorous package. read more �

Next is acting performances. Don't get me wrong: I don't mix these 20 outstanding actors and actresses altogether; I made 4 categories with 5 actors or actresses in each category. And as I made this list, I realized that... my list is kind of anti-mainstream. That does not mean that I haven't watched the movies whose stars are nominated in global awards like Globes, BAFTAs, Oscars, and all.
